Internship FAQ
What is the minimum duration of an internship at QuamTechs?
The minimum duration is 3 months. For technical departments (Engineering, Data & AI), we favor 6-month internships to allow genuine ownership of the projects.
Are internships paid?
Yes. All internships at QuamTechs come with a monthly allowance, adjusted according to the level of study and duration. Details are discussed during the interview.
Can I do an internship remotely?
It depends on the department. Engineering and Design accept hybrid internships (2 days on site / 3 days remote). Ride-hailing operations and some IQAC roles require on-site presence in Yaoundé.
What are the technical prerequisites for an engineering internship?
Proficiency in at least one modern language (TypeScript, Python, Java, Kotlin, Swift), familiarity with Git, and an understanding of database and REST API concepts. Knowledge of a back-end framework such as Spring Boot or NestJS is a real plus. Prior experience with a completed personal or academic project is appreciated.
How does the selection process work?
Three steps: (1) application review within 7 business days, (2) 30-minute HR video interview, (3) technical or case-study interview with the department head. Final answer within 14 days of applying.
